Manga, bronze, 2003/2004, ca. 190cm high.
This sculpture represents a king's son. At the moment of portrayal, he is in the phase of metamorphosis from youth to man, an ultimative super fighting machine equipped with celestial powers and fantastic abilities. Child from the chin to the base of the nose. The eyes and the rest of his form is a hybrid being, similar to the centaurs in Greek mythology. It is my first work of sculpture.
The basis for the sculpture are sketches and drawings by my daughter Katrin (>> more...), which she made on the occasion of a drawing competition.
